I have decided to share some of my projects on this site. Aside from blogging about culture, politics, border/identity theory, it seems important to collaborate with other individuals pursuing research and spending their time with theory. Therefore, you will have an opportunity to be able to see my current projects, updated once a month.

Please Note:

Because of copyright issues, I will only provide the abstract. But, when the article is published, I plan to provide the appropriate citation as to where you can find articles, papers and/or reviews.

Instead of maintaining my normal one page of “papers,” I have decided to delineate my projects into the following:

Articles:

Follow this link to learn about my current articles that I am writing for publication. These articles will focus primarily on Social-Cultural Anthropology with an emphases on the politics of borders, Latina/Latino Studies, Identity and the ways in which we understand ourselves. Trained as a theologian, I imagine that you will also find traces of the phenomena of religion through many articles.
Articles found on this page will also likely have both an anthropological and philosophical frame utilizing Cultural theories, Deconstruction and Existentialism, including Queer and a variety of Feminist Theories.

Papers:

Follow this link to read the titles of the current papers I’m writing and also see a bit of my thinking process. I should mention that some of the papers I write become a point of departure for me for some of the articles that I’m pursuing, so you will likely see some intersection of thought in the articles and papers. Certainly, the papers have an interdisciplinary approach with an intentional effort at establishing a sense of intellectual activism.
