Welcome home Milan

Today SRH and I got iPhones. We’ve been waiting for years to do this, and now we made the switch. One of the things you do when you begin to sync all your information (which I’m in the middle of doing now) is that you give your iPhone a name. I decided on the unisex and Latin name “Milan.” It can have a variety of meanings, for example, “God of beginnings” OR “middle of the plain.” As I think about intersectionality, I oftentimes find myself in the middle of places, beliefs, politics, experiences, language, and so forth. Being in the middle is also a type of beginning. So, Milan and I will navigate this intersectional space of technology and I look forward to my world radically changing because of the iPhone.
Milan, I promise to treat you good. We’ll spend lots of time w/ Stella and Pablo. Welcome to the middle of my technological plain!
