I’m learning to pay a little more closer attention to words and feelings and surroundings. I’m a rather intentional person, but for some reason I’m re-learning about words and feelings. Its nice.
Today it was a slightly rainy ride home. It wasn’t a big deal, since I have rain/wind/water proof stuff. I heard the waves crash into the docks, into the beach, and it was amazing! I loved hearing it! I heard a few birds, too, but mostly I heard the waves of Lake Michigan! The Lake was rolling in, and I absolutely loved hearing it! Rarely do I ride with a smile on my face, but today I was! I was twisting spokes in the rain, smiling, and feeling as though there was music playing within me!
I love riding, but more than that, I love the fact that my feet are touching the ground!

Standing Silent Witness - THIS FRIDAY
April 25th 12 pm - 1 pm:
Standing Silent Witness Demonstration
Daley Plaza (Washington and Dearborn)
Standing Silent Witness is Rape Victim Advocates’ signature event for Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Standing silently for one hour, participants wear t-shirts displaying the stories of sexual assault survivors in order to “break the silence” about sexual violence. A powerful, moving demonstration, these community members, advocates, volunteers and survivors bear witness to stories that are too often invisible and unacknowledged. Public is welcome to participate - t-shirts will be provided for the event to the first 75 participants. Please join RVA at their Central Office, 180 N. Michigan Ave. Suite 600 at 11 AM for light refreshments prior to the demonstration, or meet directly at Daley Plaza. For more information, contact Nicole at advocacy@rapevictimadvocates.org or call (312)443-9603 x25 . Please join us and bring your friends - show survivors of rape that you will stand up for them!
The forecast for the day is rain in the morning, but only clouds during the demonstration! We’ll be there either way - rain or shine!
