Sometimes you really find the likeness of seatstays and aluminum.  Sometimes you just get turned onto the reality that a bike has “longhorn” handlebars and a swanky Zen, all black, urban-looking ride.  I don’t know if there is such a thing as “swanky Zen OR all black, urban-looking ride,” but this bike has surely taken my breath away!  Not many inanimate things do!  I think it was love at first sight–something that only the winter of 2008 has convinced me of.  Before January, I don’t know that I could’ve said that love at first sight existed!  Well, Specialized [I love their stuff] has topped me with their Langster models!  And, Johnny Sprockets had one 49″ left [that's my size]–long legs for my height, but I’m short–I got power legs though!  I can pedal with the best of them!

Take a look:

SPEED DEMON Built for rallying city streets and lapping racers at the velodrome, the LangsterTM is as gutsy a ride as it gets-pure and simple, yet fast as hell. Sometimes one speed is all you need.

Inside Tech
Making a bike look as fast as it rides isn’t always the easiest thing. But this year our designers went over the top to give the Langster the style and personality it really deserves. Representing some of the greatest cities in the world, this year’s Langsters include colorways for London, Chicago, Seattle, New York and Boston.

This Langster could out-race Al Capone and his gang any day. Replete with bullhorn handlebars and a matte black finish with skyline view, our Chicago Langster flies like a bullet, even through the infamous Windy City.

The National Board of Integrity, an organization within the Episcopal Church advocating for the rights of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons, invites all Episcopalians and other faithful friends, both lay and clergy, to a celebration of the Eucharist at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 18. A reception will follow in the Narthex of the Cathedral.

This Eucharist is being celebrated in conjunction with the spring meeting of the National Board of Integrity, which is being held in Chicago on April 18 and 19.  Bishop Jeffrey Lee of the Diocese of Chicago will preside at this Eucharist, Provost Joy Rogers will host the event, the Reverend Bonnie Perry, Rector All Saints Church, Ravenswood, will preach, and the Reverend Susan Russell, the national President of Integrity, will speak about Integrity’s ministry in the Episcopal Church.  The offering at this Eucharist will be designated for support of Integrity’s presence at the Lambeth Conference of Bishops in Canterbury, England, July 10th to August 4th, 2008.
